These are the Top 4 Activities You Need to Complete Before Beginning Your Diet

Before you begin any new eating regime, you need to clean out all the old “bad” food stashes and hidey holes.  These areas include your pantry, fridge, freezer and secret hiding places.  If you use your car as a secret stash spot, then you will have to clean it as well.

When it comes to cleaning out your "old way of eating" food to make way for your "new way of eating" food, you have a few choices as to what you can do with it.  You can give it to family and friends, or donate it to your local church or charity. Or you can simply just throw it in the rubbish. Either way, it is very important that you get it out of your reach before beginning your new eating plan.

To get rid of all of this "bad" food you will need to complete a total audit of the food that is in your close proximity.  My Top 4 activities to complete before beginning your diet are:

1 - Clean & Organize Your Food Pantry.  You need to get rid of all the food that you know you will be tempted to just grab and eat. Things like biscuits, chips, and lollies. None of these foods are nutritious and they are all just empty calories.

2 - Clean & Organize Your Fridge. This includes throwing out all of those opened bottles of jams and spreads that you think you might eat. If they have been sitting there untouched for ages, it's best that they are not there to tempt you when you feel like a sugar fix.

3 - Clean & Organize Your Freezer. The freezer is a great stash spot for ice cream, chocolates, and even chocolate biscuits. And I forgot cheesecake and so many other yummy desserts. The freezer is my biggest downfall. Just make sure to clean out all bad foods that will not help you on your journey.

4 - Secret Hiding Places. There are more of these than I can mention. Everyone seems to have their own favorite place to hide their stash. Just make sure you clean them all out.

Honorable Mentions - Cookie Jars, Office Desk, Car, Lounge Room Chair, Bedside Table, and anywhere else. You know where you hide food so just get rid of it!!!!
