These Amazing Smoothies Burn Fat All Day Long
Smoothies are a great "meal in a cup" especially in the morning when you are busy trying to begin your day.
Not only are they powerhouses of nutrition and hydration for your body, but as long as you add the right ingredients to your smoothie, they can actually help you burn fat all day long.
Following is two smoothie recipes that are popular in my home. The first one uses almond milk but for those who don't like a creamy taste, the second one has none. Plus it has an interesting ingredient that you would not think to put in a smoothie. Well at least I didn't at first but now I am hooked. Each of smoothie is very tasty and a great fat-burning meal in a cup.
Apple Cinnamon Smoothie
The is smoothie is well like in our house as it is very filling and tastes like an apple pie without all the added carbs. The following recipe serves 2.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup of Almond Milk – Vanilla if desired
1 cup of washed, raw salad spinach
1 scoop of protein powder
½ a red apple, washed and cut
½ tsp of vanilla extract
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
Ice Cubes if desired
METHOD
Take all ingredients and place them in a blender.
Blend ingredients until it reaches desired consistency.
Pour into two glasses and share with a friend.

Strawberry Pistachio Smoothie
For those of you who prefer a non milk smoothie with a bit more of a frutier taste, this might be the smoothie for you. The following recipe serves 1.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup of strawberries - frozen is quite okay
1/4 cup unsalted and shelled pistachios
1/2 peeled and pitted avocado
1 tsp vanilla
1 scoop of protein powder
A few ice cubes
Water to blend - you may or may not need the water. It is there just to add to get your desired consistency.
METHOD
Take all ingredients and place them in a blender and begin to blend. Add a drizzle of water every so often until the desired consistency is achieved.
Pour into a glass and enjoy.

The protein powder I use has 6.5g of carbs per scoop. There are low carb protein powders available, but just do your own research and try and get a good quality plant protein powder where possible.
