We Have ALL Been Lied To! You Don't Need to Take 10,000 Steps a Day!
We all need balance in our lives! Whether it's our work/life balance or a fitness/fun balance. But unless you have an extra 2 hours a day to walk 10,000 steps, this goal is not achievable!
Harvard Medical School did a study and found that walking 4,400 steps a day reduced mortality. If you walked more than 4,400 steps daily mortality rates progressively decreased. But after walking 7,500 steps a day, mortality rates did not decline. It seems as though the “sweet spot” is around 7,500 steps a day and not the magic 10,000 steps that many of us try to achieve.
Have you ever wondered how did this whole 10,000 steps a day come into being? You can watch the following two videos to find out.
